Wicked Appetite

      I just finished reading Ransom by Julie Garwood and I was faced with a dilemma: what was I going to do? Should I  write about the book that I just finished and if so then what book should I choose to read next? Should I choose something from my library of books or try reading something new? something that you need to know about me is that I am a  very complex .
     I am complex in everything from listening to music to reading books. I like listening to opera, country, easy listening to hip hop and even on occasion rock. You will find that I have music from countries from all over the world. It is the same thing with my reading, I like reading historical romance as well as modern day romance, sci-fi and even on occasion I have been known to read a biography of people that have made our world what it is today. So after a great length of deciding what I was going to do I decided to try reading something new.



       The book that I chose is called Wicked Appetite by Janet Evanovich. It takes place in  Marblehead, which just happens to be located near Salem Massachusetts.  Knowing that little tidbit, you just know its gonna be interesting. So to start off its for sure isn't your average mystery. OH NO this one has Sins, witches, evil verses good and saving the world from ARMAGEDDON!

       In this book we learn about the Seven Deadly Sins, and the one it focuses on is Gluttony, which is the  sin in where we over indulge on items and one happens to be food. Ironic because the main character Lizzy Tucker just happens to work at a Bakery. Unbeknown to Lizzy she has the power to tell if objects have been enchanted by just a touch of her hand. She can also make amazing baked goods because of her power. Diesel one of the protagonist of the book  can touch a door and have  it  open  just because it was touched. When asked how he did that he replied "I don't know I just can." Both of these characters could be considered witches based on there abilities.  Throw that with deadly sins and you've got a hay day for the Catholic church.

Talk about religious superstitions and supernatural powers on four charms that give clues leading to a tablet that leads to the next deadly sin. To add to the over whelming idea, they are racing Diesels evil cousin whom also is looking for the sin stones. If he finds them first and collects all seven stones it will be ARMAGEDDON for all of the world just like a page from the BIBLE.
